Non Toxic Laundry Routine
I have tried dozens of non toxic laundry products! I've even tried DIYing because I couldn't find anything that I was super impressed with at first. This is my current laundry routine will all my tried + true products that I love - and work amazing!!
I wish I had known about this stain treater sooner! It works so well!! It is great at removing stains quickly. All you need is a couple sprays, then I normally scrub it into the stain if it is from a few days ago with a laundry stain brush.
2/ Molly's Suds Laundry Powder
This is a great laundry detergent! It doesn't leave any weird residues on your clothes and it leaves them feeling soft + very fresh smelling. My favorite is the citrus grove scent - but they have several different scent options. They also have laundry pods or liquid detergent that I have heard work great!
3/ Molly's Suds Oxygen Whitener
This is a must have if you like your whites to be nice + bright! It can be tricky finding a non toxic option but this works great. You can use this powder on a presoak setting on your washer or on a regular setting. Typically, once per month I do a presoak load with my white bedding to really brighten them. Then for the rest of the month I just add a scoop of the oxygen whitener in with a scoop of the regular Molly Suds laundry powder.
Vinegar is a low tox home staple that I always keep on hand. It makes a great fabric softener! I typically only use it for towels or extra grimy clothes. It is great at eliminating odor and softening fabrics! All you need to do is add 1/4 cup or so to your washer - you won't be able to smell the vinegar at all on your clothes.
I love adding essential oils to my laundry! My favorite way to use them is on wool dryer balls. I will let my dryer run the full cycle with dryer balls, then pull them out, add a couple drops of essential oils on then turn the dryer back on for a few minutes! This is a great way to add some scent to your laundry.
If you are using dryer sheets still please make the swap to wool dryer balls! Dryer sheets can be one of the most toxic household products due to the fragrance in them. Dryer Balls are eco friendly, budget friendly + are wayyy better for you.
