How to make your kitchen less toxic in 2024!
The best non toxic products you can swap to in 2024 to make you kitchen a little less toxic!

The kitchen is truly the heart of every home! It exudes warmth, comfort, and the delicious aroma of homemade meals. It's where memories are created and relationships are strengthened. Unfortunately, some of the common products used in our kitchens contain harmful chemicals. The good news is that there are plenty of easy and effective swaps you can make to create a healthier and safer kitchen! Here are some of the BEST toxin-free options!
1/ Cleaning products: Keeping your kitchen clean and your dishes sparkly doesn't require harsh chemicals. The Puracy cleaning concentrate has been my go-to for cleaning my entire house, especially in the kitchen! It's truly amazing how it cuts through grease and grime. Another favorite of mine is the Bon ami powder, which works wonders for cleaning pots, pans, stovetops, and even sinks! Below, I've listed some other essential cleaning must-haves for your kitchen.

2/Kitchen staples: One of the best ways to elevate your kitchen is by eliminating plastic! I love how many non-toxic alternatives are also environmentally friendly. Some of my personal favorites include silicone food savers (ideal for preserving half lemons, avocados, and more) and beeswax wraps! It works way better than plastic wraps, while being eco-friendly. When it comes to heating water or cooking food stainless steel is one of the best options. This electric tea kettle and air fryer are great swaps!

3/ Cooking + food storage: When it comes to cooking + baking, stainless steel is a great choice. It's durable, versatile and non toxic! To go along with cooking - swap plastic utensils for silicone. Unlike plastic, they won't release harmful chemicals when exposed to heat. For storing food, glass food containers and silicone bags are a great option! I love stasher bags - they are an investment at first but will last you years!

Switching to low tox or non-toxic products can be quite the lifestyle change. Don't dive into it all at once - instead, incorporate it gradually into your routine. When you're about to run out of a certain product, instead of repurchasing the same old item, take a moment to research and find a non-toxic alternative.
Remember, it doesn’t have to be a dramatic, overnight change. Start with one product at a time, and before you know it, you'll have significantly reduced the toxic load in your household!
